About Alexas Skucas

Alex is an attorney focusing primarily on patent litigation and complex civil litigation. Prior to joining Rogers Counsel, Alex was a partner at King & Spalding and Kenyon & Kenyon. At each of those firms, he led teams of attorneys in litigating high-value, high-risk patent cases in federal district courts across the country, including the E.D. Texas, D. Delaware, and N.D. California. Alex particularly enjoys technologically complicated subject matter and has litigated cases involving encryption, cellular standards, speech synthesis, and pharmaceutical compounds, to name just a few. Apart from appearing in court for trials, motion practice, Markman Hearings, and depositions, Alex has also negotiated numerous high-value settlements and licenses (including broad cross-licenses) and has served as a mediator in dozens of matters.

Alex has a J.D. from George Mason University and a B.S. in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of Virginia. Prior to earning his J.D., Alex worked as an engineer at The MITRE Corporation, where he built simulations of air traffic control systems.
